Lakeland approves early purchase of four K9 pursuit SUVs for police fleet

Shiraz explained the procurement would put the new vehicles on the front line and move the existing frontline vehicles into the reserve pool. The commission approved the purchase order on a voice vote after a motion and second. No public comment opposed the item.
