Medford schools introduce new facilities director and managing director for out‑of‑school time

Superintendent Dr. Lucy Galusi introduced two new district hires during the July 20 meeting: Ryan Pike, the new Director of Facilities, and Katie Doucette, the Managing Director for Before‑and‑After‑School programming. Both officials said they had begun work and were preparing for the fall school year.
Katie Doucette, who joined the district in early July, said she was "delighted to be here" and described her experience leading out‑of‑school-time programs and Title I services in previous positions. Ryan Pike noted he has experience with school facilities and projects and said he was looking forward to completing summer work to prepare buildings for students.
The superintendent asked the committee to welcome both hires and said their skills were an important complement to district priorities for program expansion and building readiness.
