El Monte council OKs $200,000 camera system, extends crime-analysis and authorizes funding from Measure PC and asset forfeiture

The council voted to use $150,442 in contingency funds and up to $50,000 from asset forfeiture funds for the camera project.
Council also approved continuing contractual crime analysis services with Insight Analytics LLC (an affiliate of Cynthia Haebe) on a sole-source basis, authorizing an amount not to exceed $100,000 from asset forfeiture funds for services through June 30, 2028. Separately, the council authorized $236,610 in Measure PC funds and $397,000 in Asset Forfeiture funds for approved equipment, supplies and training purchases in FY 2025-26; together those appropriations total $633,610.
All motions carried unanimously.
