The Orangeburg County Board of Zoning Appeals met on May 19, 2026. Chairman Moses Brown called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m., Glenn Edwards offered the invocation, and the board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the March minutes on motions by Member Yvonne Gooden-Johnson seconded by Glenn Edwards.
Under New Business the board considered a variance request from M. B. Kahn Construction Co., Inc. for 1255 Belleville Road (TMS# 0173-12-02-005.000). After a staff report from Planning Director Preston McClun and a presentation by applicant representative Shawn Foster, the board approved the variance 3-1 with conditions on buffers and required landscaping. No public commenters registered support or opposition. A motion to adjourn by Glenn Edwards, seconded by Yvonne Gooden-Johnson, carried and the meeting ended at 6:07 p.m.
