County schedules geotechnical drilling for Kinnickinn Road at end of August

Brandon, a county staff member working on Kinnickinn Road, told commissioners he received confirmation that geotechnical boring is scheduled for Aug. 31 through Sept. 4 and that Rock Soul will have a drill on site, which reduces mobilization costs. He said the county will work with local landholders on right-of-entry forms and meet with contractors Proc and Patch to coordinate access.
Brandon estimated it will take about two months for the drilling firm to deliver results, after which the county expects preliminary designs and engineering estimates for repair options. "We're hoping about 2 months, to be honest," he said when asked about the turnaround time for drilling results. Commissioners thanked him for the update and asked staff to circulate further details as they become available.
