At its July 23 meeting the Fort Branch Town Council recorded the following formal actions:
- Approved July claims docket (June 13–July 7) totaling $23,675.26 and approved the June fund-balance report of $6,274,485. - Approved a sewer adjustment/summer sprinkling credit totaling $73.68. - Authorized signatures on a consultant consent form and a notice of intent to construct a water main extension and directed staff to pursue fee and bond waivers for the project. - Approved a 50% refund of a $215 shelter-house rental due to inadequate cooling during a booked event. - Approved the town’s portion of the fire-territory budget as presented; staff will finalize figures following the county’s Aug. 11 meeting. - Tabled a decision on repairing or replacing a Kubota tractor pending more detailed written pricing and usage data. - Appointed Tony Armstrong as sewer operator in charge, directed staff to terminate outside operator services, and approved $561 in back pay for a cell-phone stipend tied to the position.
All motions recorded in the meeting passed by voice vote.
