City Attorney Calloway read a set of resolutions authorizing grant applications and awarding bids for park and pool projects during the May 26 Lauderdale Lakes commission meeting. The package included Resolution 2026‑054 awarding the swimming pool complex renovation to MTI Construction Group LLC in an amount not to exceed $544,374.84 and multiple restroom renovation awards to Con Builders Inc. and Kahn Builders Inc., with amounts listed in each resolution.
Commissioner Taisie Coswell moved to bring the grouped resolutions (2026‑052 through 2026‑060 and related items) to the floor; the commission voted and the motion passed. The mayor and commissioners approved the procurement actions that authorize the mayor and city clerk to execute contracts with the named vendors, and copies of agreements were made available in the city clerk's office for inspection per staff remarks.
The resolutions also included a grant application to the Recreational Trails Program through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for Cypress Preserve Park improvements and a city resolution urging Congress to consider HR 2094 and S 978 related to housing assistance. The awards establish contract authority and set not‑to‑exceed amounts for each project as recorded in the meeting packet.
