Jared Meiser of Southeast Iowa Regional Planning described the plat and staff recommendation in the board packet and recommended approval.
Meiser, the planner on the item, said the subdivision “was a 2 lot deal back in the 19 eighties on Iowa City Road” and explained the current action would split an existing third house onto its own lot while providing a 33-foot access easement to Iowa City Road. The board moved and the motion passed as presented. No objections or major concerns were recorded during the review.
The item was recorded as Resolution 2026-47 and will be filed as the final plat for the Claussen Bike Subdivision. Staff told the board the site is not within two miles of a city and that the plat accommodated existing homes and a portion of a pond. The board did not request further study or conditions before approval.
