Town Hall renovation bids found incomplete; committee will meet as funding remains uncertain

At the May 19 meeting, First Selectman Dana Barrow Jr. reported that bids for the Town Hall Renovation came back incomplete: four bids were initially submitted but none were complete; bidders were given 10 days to correct their submissions and three complete bids were received by May 14. "It appears we do not have the available funds to move forward yet," Barrow said, and the Town Hall Renovation Building Committee will meet to determine next steps.
The town plans to apply for CIF Round 9 grants (application due May 29) to help close the funding gap. Board members discussed next steps and noted the project will require additional funding or successful grant awards before the town can proceed with construction.
