Flood mitigation project advances to 60% design, BUILD grant pending, easement work expected in 2027

Beuning told the Council estimated funding for Flood Mitigation in early years will come primarily from transfers from the General Fund plus anticipated grant funds; Phase 2 is listed in planning materials but currently has no dollar amounts assigned pending future grant awards and therefore is excluded from long-term financial projections until funding becomes more certain. Council was told a pending BUILD grant decision is expected later in the month, and staff characterized the design progress as positioning the Town to pursue federal funds more effectively.
