Land team: 11 pending settlement offers and 31 parcels awaiting closings

Justin Fisher, the authority's land management lead, updated the board on acquisitions and settlements. "We have currently 11 pending settlement offers with property owners," Fisher said, and added the authority had closed on one parcel in the previous month and has 31 parcels across 15 owner groups pending closing.
Fisher also said there has not been a trial in more than seven months and that a trial is scheduled next month in Cass County. Staff continue to hold post‑operation cleanup and restoration subcommittee meetings and are tracking property status with maps indicating acquired flow easements and parcels in negotiation or eminent domain.
No board action was taken; staff said closings should begin to work through as agreements complete.
