City grant writer: water infrastructure grant submitted; awards expected Feb. 2026

City Grant Writer Aimee Baker updated the Leoti council Oct. 20 on the citys grant activity. Baker said the city submitted a water infrastructure grant last month and that the award decision will not be known until February 2026. She also reported she is working on grant proposals to fund air packs for the Leoti Volunteer Fire Department and new play equipment for the city park.
Baker and Finn Baker left the meeting at 7:05 p.m. The council did not take formal action on the grants during the meeting; Baker presented the status and timelines for follow-up.
