Trustees authorize fire tanker purchase, approve generator quote to support ISO rating

Fire Chief explained the specification: "...a 750 is minimum for NFPA to count as a pump retainer," and said a larger pump helps with the department’s ISO rating. Trustees also approved a $16,000 quote from Spirit Head Electrical Services LLC for generator installation (electrical and propane work) intended to satisfy backup-power requirements at a temporary facility and to support future moves; the motion carried on roll call.
Trustees discussed storage-site permission, procurement timelines and contractor options; Chief and staff said they would follow up with contract details and logistics once temporary-storage approval is confirmed.
