Council discussed a sewer backup that affected the residence at 312 E. Earl Street after city crews jetted and vacuumed lines from the Logan Street manhole toward the Wichita County Health Center (WCHC). The clog was located mid-block between Logan and Earl streets; the vacuum/jet truck removed the buildup but the residence experienced sewage intrusion.
City staff said they will uncover the sewer main line for inspection when weather conditions allow and requested an updated quote from Mayer Specialty Services to install cure-in-place lining in the problem area. The council indicated it would consider completing the lining in 2026 if the quote and timeline are feasible.
