The Weld County Board of County Commissioners proclaimed July 22, 2026, as Dr. Andrew (Andy) Feinstein Day to recognize his service as president of the University of Northern Colorado and his role in securing a $247,000,000 investment to establish Colorado’s first public osteopathic medical college. Chair read the proclamation into the record and commissioners offered remarks about Feinstein’s engagement with Greeley and Weld County.
Feinstein, introduced by the board, thanked the commissioners and the community. “I want to thank all of you for your leadership, your steadfast support of the university, your community involvement, and your deep care for Weld County,” Feinstein said. Commissioners praised Feinstein’s work on downtown redevelopment, UNC’s retention and graduation gains, and community partnerships; the board signed the proclamation and posed for a photo following the remarks.
