The City Council of Edgerton, Kansas approved Consent Agenda Items 4 through 10 during its Oct. 9 regular meeting, voting 4-0 to adopt minutes, accept park project closeouts, accept Phase 1 of the Dwyer Farms water connections and authorize final payment, accept a contract closeout for a space needs study, approve the Trails Master Plan, and adopt Resolution No. 10-09-25A setting city fees and rates.
Councilmember Clay Longanecker moved to approve the consent items and Councilmember Deb Lebakken seconded. The motion carried by the following recorded vote: Yes — Longanecker, Lewis, Conus, Lebakken; Absent — Malloy. The consent motion bundled a series of administrative and project-closeout actions intended to clear record-keeping and allow final payments and small fund transfers to occur, including transferring $8,719 of remaining park-project funds to the General Fund and authorizing final payment to Redford Construction Inc. for Phase 1 of the Dwyer Farms water connections.
The consent agenda also included final acceptance of a contract with Incite Design Studio for a Space Needs Study and authorization to transfer unused funds to the General Fund, and the Council approved the city's Trails Master Plan that staff had presented previously. Resolution No. 10-09-25A, the ordinance-like action establishing fees and rates for permits, licenses and services, was adopted as part of the same consent motion. No council member requested removal of any consent item for separate discussion.
