The board selected a venue and schedule for the district’s annual meeting and arranged outside assistance on grants.
After comparing options, members voted to reserve Choctaw Landing's 60-person conference room (0.5 day package, $600) for the annual meeting. The board set the date for June 18 with a morning start at 8:00 AM at the district office, recess at 5:00 PM and reconvene at 6:00 PM at the remote venue.
Separately, the board confirmed that representatives from Communities Unlimited (Lucas Fund) and a water-district peer will be on site on the 29th to review financial-access assessments and grant strategies; staff were asked to coordinate times and request resumes or scope documents from prospective grant writers to evaluate contingency engagements.
