Facilities and design staff presented a facilities software license renewal with Kahua Incorporated covering 2026–2029 and a total amount of $846,138. Board counsel flagged standard contract term changes compared with the 2021 agreement and recommended final negotiation prior to execution.
Attorney Malone said the backup materials included different vendor terms and staff proposed approving the renewal "subject to Dr. Taylor and our review of or negotiation of some acceptable terms to be added to the agreement." The board moved, seconded and approved the renewal, with the action recorded as passing unanimously. The chair and staff indicated they expected negotiations to return language to acceptable baseline terms and to avoid removing the item from the agenda before the current license expires July 31.
