Planning update: town to begin 10‑year POCD outreach; commission approves minutes

Town planning staff reported that the Planning & Zoning Commission is preparing a 10‑year Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) that will involve a consultant, public meetings and surveys and is expected to take about 18 months to complete.
Staff said the town will seek input from commissions and residents, begin consultant contracting possibly in October, and circulate surveys and outreach materials. Chair Ned Stachan then moved to approve minutes for the Inland Wetlands Commission for June 24 and July 8; both motions were seconded and approved. The Inland Wetlands meeting adjourned at about 7:30 p.m., and the chair immediately called the Conservation Commission to order for its meeting where the POCD and a local parking/Will Warren's Den area were briefly discussed. The Conservation Commission approved its July 8 minutes and agreed to take the rest of the summer off.
