Sewer work to resume in March; city plans bids for curbs and Main Street improvements

City Superintendent Blaine Medina reported that Mayer Specialty Services will return at the beginning of March to complete sewer work in the alley of Logan Street to the south side of the hospital; city crews had performed preparatory digging on the south side of the nursing home. Medina said the work schedule depends on weather and contractor availability.
Medina also said Sporer Land Development has expressed interest in bidding on the BCBS Pathways project and that the city will issue a request for bids for curbing and guttering on Main Street. He added that when weather permits the crew will stripe parking lines on south Highway 25 and that council discussed leasing a tool cat and bobcat instead of purchasing new equipment to meet operational needs.
