Local landscaper offers to revamp Bonduel downtown greenspace; RDA requests 3D rendering

Jeremy Gretzinger, owner of Gretzinger Landscaping & Evergreens LLC, presented two options to redesign the public parking greenspace at the intersection of Cecil and Green Bay Streets during the Village of Bonduel Redevelopment Authority meeting on May 13, 2025. He told the Authority he would donate time and materials and that a local business had offered additional funding support. "Proposal #1" was an extensive plan featuring raised flower beds, low-maintenance artificial turf, a 21-inch-high sitting wall, a paver stone path and a water feature; "Proposal #2" was a more modest reworking of landscaping around the existing sign with annual plantings.
After reviewing the two options, the RDA indicated a preference for "Proposal #1" and voted to ask Gretzinger to prepare a digital 3D rendering for further consideration. Committee member Brad Luepke moved and Committee member Caitlin Richter seconded the motion to request a 3D rendering; the motion carried unanimously. The rendering requirement was framed as a next step before the Authority would consider funding or formal approval.
