Trustees voted in favor by roll call and directed staff to proceed with procurement under the state contract and to ensure outfitting specifications match K-9 operational needs.
The vote came as part of a broader staffing discussion that also advanced hiring two additional full-time police officers to support 24/7 coverage. Staff will return with final outfitting invoices and a plan to reconcile vehicle purchases with the department’s staffing timeline.
