Resident raises smart-meter health concerns; mayor notes retirements and community events

Mayor Clark Shultz opened the Lindsborg City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2025.
During the public-input portion, Jamie Samson told the council he was concerned about smart meters and their effects on people with medical conditions and urged the city to consider those impacts in future utility decisions. "I'm concerned about how smart meters affect those with medical issues," Samson said.
Shultz used his report to offer condolences on the passing of former Mayor John Magnuson and to note community events, including a swap meet coordinated by Trystan and Joshua Swanson scheduled for Nov. 22 at Soderstrom Elementary School. He also recognized that this was the final regular council meeting for Councilmembers John Presley, Kirsten Bruce, Tanner Corwin and Corey Peterson and thanked them for their service.
