OWEB shows public tools and ORE inventory; John Day Basin report totals $27 million

Audrey Hatch, OWEB's conservation outcomes coordinator, walked the committee through the Oregon Watershed Restoration Inventory (ORE) and the Oregon watershed restoration tool that exposes ORE datasets as downloadable, mapped area reports. She emphasized that ORE is the agency's restoration repository and that grantees and voluntary partners submit project-completion data that OWEB quality-controls before export.
Using a demo area report staff selected the John Day Basin for 2017 through June 30, 2023, and the tool displayed funding and match totals by project type. "Over $27,000,000 has been invested in restoration in the John Day Basin," Hatch said, and staff noted the tool can break investment totals down by streamside, upland and fish-passage projects and allow users to download the underlying data for analysis.
