Board signs SF-424 and approves CDBG 2026 annual action plan step

County staff presented the CDBG process and asked the board to authorize the SF-424 applicant/recipient certifications; the board approved the step necessary to submit the 2026 annual action plan to HUD.
Cynthia (speaker 8) explained this is one step in the county Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) annual funding process: HUD allocates funds, the county passes funds to eligible municipalities, and the county submits an annual action plan and SF-424 application documents to HUD. "This is just 1 step in the annual funding process that for our the county CDBG program," Cynthia said.
Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to approve the SF-424 and related certifications and the motion carried by voice vote. Staff will send the annual action plan and application to HUD and follow the federal grant agreement process if the award is made.
