Edgerton council approves temporary workspace agreement with Southern Star at Big Bull Creek plant

The Edgerton City Council on Feb. 12 approved a Temporary Workspace Agreement with Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc., for construction activities and equipment staging at the southeast corner of the Big Bull Creek Wastewater Plant. Public Works Director Dan Merkh told the council the agreement requires restoration of any areas impacted by construction and clarifies the term limit.
Merkh said the agreement now contains language that "the term shall remain in effect for a period not to exceed 12 months from the date of execution, or until completion of the associated project activities, whichever occurs first." Councilmember Clay Longanecker moved to approve the item, Councilmember Josh Lewis seconded, and the motion carried 3–0 (Longanecker, Lewis, Conus present; Lebakken and Malloy absent). The approval authorizes staff to finalize the agreement and coordinate restoration following Southern Star's work.
