City staff reported persistent, hard-to-locate roof leaks at the Sundstrom Conference Center, which is approximately 12 years old. The leaks are difficult to trace because water migrates across the slope and appears at intermittent interior points. Wray Roofing— the original installer— provided a quote to address open areas around the roof periphery and to perform repairs under the existing warranty arrangement.
Staff recommended using Wray Roofing for these repairs to maintain the warranty on prior minor repairs and to potentially extend the roof’s useful life. Councilmember Kirsten Bruce moved to approve $12,500 in repairs from Wray Roofing; Council President Rebecca Van Der Wege seconded and the motion passed 7-0 by roll call vote.
