The City Council on July 6 approved a $1,842 change order to Buettner Construction for the Cedar Buttes Sanitary Sewer Extension District No. 71 and authorized Contractor's Application for Payment No. 1 for the full current contract amount of $131,862.00.
Utilities Superintendent Torey Zuver explained that during installation crews encountered an existing sanitary sewer service from Royal Court that entered the manhole where the new main was being placed; the service had to be disconnected and reconnected to the new main, which produced Change Order No. 1 dated May 27, 2026. Planning/Building/Zoning Official Janet Johnson added that staff has already received development inquiries for the area and intends to propose a sanitary sewer tap fee at a future meeting.
