Superintendent previews fall priorities, HVAC and construction projects for September 2026

"Every initiative, every dollar, and every investment...is guided by this mission in order for the benefit of our students here in Edison Township," Dr. Adorelli said, emphasizing fiscal stewardship, family engagement and unified communications. He said curriculum revisions and program planning are under way over the summer and that the district will use multiple measures — student achievement, teacher notes and surveys — to craft instructional goals.
Dr. Adorelli itemized facilities work in progress: air-conditioning installations are underway at James Madison Primary, John Marshall Intermediate and Washington Elementary (demolition mostly complete and HVAC equipment on-site); a three-story classroom addition and new entry at John Marshall; switchgear replacement at Edison High School; renovations to the Thomas Jefferson Middle School kitchen; and completion of an athletic trainers room at Edison High School. He said the projects are being progressed with district contractors and facilities staff and that installations are expected to be ready for September 2026.
He also flagged operational items that will appear in the August superintendent's report: enrollment and class-size updates, staffing vacancies and HR recruitment efforts, transportation routes and subscription-bus registration, and ongoing safety checks led by district facilities staff.
The superintendent closed by noting continued attention to student supports, mental-health services, expansion of dual-language programs and growth of high-school academies and said the administration will provide a more detailed report to the board in August.
