Entry-level biomanufacturing jobs in Central Mass start near $55,000 to $65,000, MBI says

When asked about compensation for entry-level roles, the MBI director said typical starting wages in Central Massachusetts range "maybe $60,000, $65,000, 55, somewhere in that range," and added that many employers provide benefits and tuition assistance for employees who pursue further education.
The director recommended that students get involved in school science programs, internships, and job-shadowing opportunities and said adults can transition into the field through free or stipend-supported certificate programs offered in the evening to accommodate workers.
MBI also pointed listeners to an online candidate resource, biomanufacturingcentral.bio, which the director said lists training options and candidate-facing information to help people explore career pathways in the life sciences.
