New Oregon law reimburses Planned Parenthood services for OHP patients to keep clinics open

Representative Ben Bowman and Amy Ambler described the law as a response to federal defunding that had threatened clinic operations, cancer screenings, contraception access and STI testing. Speakers stressed the measure preserves preventive services—telehealth for remote patients and on-site services for communities across urban and rural Oregon—but did not specify exact budget figures or the timeline for agency implementation. The Oregon Health Authority was named as the implementation lead during remarks at the event.
