Elderbrock laid out how grantees should complete the program project narrative performance metrics: the portal uses three columns — quantity completed prior to this reporting period, quantity completed this reporting period, and a description of accomplishments. He recommended opening a separate browser tab with the prior report so users can copy previously reported totals into the 'prior' column when the portal does not auto-populate those fields.
He offered concrete examples to illustrate entries: "maybe, for example, you actually had a management plan generated or you had, you know, 50 participants in community events," and he showed how to enter those figures and describe accomplishments (for example, an urban forester completing a management plan in the current period). The tutorial also notes that expected future outputs may be listed (for example, planning to plant 100 trees in a future quarter).
