The Brentwood Select Board approved several routine administrative items and announced upcoming community events.
Motions carried for the library to use $1,185.50 from its building maintenance capital-reserve fund, for revised credit-card authorization paperwork, and for a payroll-check-replacement policy that places a stop-payment fee on the employee when a lost physical check must be replaced. The board also appointed Steve Hamilton to the Zoning Board of Adjustment after soliciting applicants and directed staff to post for ZBA alternates.
In updates, the board welcomed Jay Mansey as the new Parks and Recreation director and announced National Night Out on Aug. 4 starting at 5 p.m. The planning board reported approval for three farmers-market dates at Crowley Falls barn to be tested for parking capacity, and the conservation commission noted upcoming work on a dam owned by a neighboring town; routine committee updates were given and no further board action was required.
