Staff updates: parks master plan cleared rounds and two new planners to support TCAB work

Community Development Director David Berneker told the committee the parks master plan has cleared planning commission and council reviews and that two new planners will join the department in roughly six to eight weeks to help manage projects and TCAB outreach.
David Berneker reported that the parks master plan has moved through planning commission and council review and listed it among major upcoming projects staff will support. "The parks master plan, after a couple runs, passed planning commission and city council," Berneker said.
He also said two planners are expected to join the department in about six to eight weeks and that one of them, an associate planner, would likely take on day-to-day liaison responsibilities with TCAB. Members welcomed the additional staffing and were asked to expect updated staff support and meeting packets via email ahead of future meetings.
