The Brentwood Select Board reviewed payroll and a detailed accounts-payable warrant that listed vendor payments and direct deposits, reconciled a few discrepancies between gross and net columns, and approved the payroll and warrants by motion.
During the review, members checked specific employee line items and vendor amounts and asked staff to reconcile one direct-deposit/net-total discrepancy. The treasurer reported the general fund and invested-funds totals and provided balances for several restricted accounts including conservation commission and planning board funds. A motion to approve the payroll and AP warrants was made, seconded and approved.
Board materials show the payroll and AP warrant included a mix of direct deposits and checks to vendors such as Amazon Capital Services, Eversource, JE Dowling Mechanical and others listed as part of the warrant review. The treasurer summarized ending cash and invested funds and flagged outstanding payables; the board moved to accept the treasurer's report and approve the warrants.
