Contractor says switchgear delay is holding final hookups for Russell County bus garage and field houses

Destiny Robinson of Brainscomb presented construction photos and a progress update on the district’s bus garage and the visitor and home field houses, showing masonry work, ceiling grids, door installations and HVAC and electrical rough-ins.
Robinson explained visible work and the schedule, and noted a supply dependency: "the gear for these field houses will not ship until the end of this month," meaning the contractor will complete electrical switchgear hookups once that equipment arrives. The board discussed that switchgear lead times have been long and acknowledged the buildings are substantially complete pending final equipment arrival.
Chair recommended moving forward with the planned work and the board accepted the update; proposal requests tied to finish items and AV/strobe additions were considered in a separate agenda item.
