The town board approved numerous resolutions that together authorize small capital purchases, operating permits, personnel promotions and community events. Notable approvals included a kayak-rental operation at Fisher Prairie Preserve (Upstate Kayak Rentals), replacement fencing at Mary J Rowe Memorial Dog Park (contract not to exceed $70,306), purchase of playground equipment for Long Hill Park (not to exceed $6,736), and promotion of town seasonal staff, including Ryan Ensell to assistant highway maintenance supervisor and a facilitator promotion at the adventure-challenge course.
The board also approved an outside-user sewer connection for 16 Bono Road, authorized awarding a recycling/crushing bid to East Ridge Evacuation LLC for highway materials reuse, issued a mass-gathering permit to Grasshopper Heating & Cooling for an Aug. 14 Clifton Common event (insurance and surety required), and scheduled an informational meeting for Sept. 15 on a walking path connecting Clifton Park Common to Lace Lane through Calico Colony.
