Grantsville council approves 2026 Transportation Master Plan update with minor map corrections requested

Grantsville City Council voted June 17 to adopt the 2026 update to the city’s Transportation Master Plan after a presentation by Matthew Linford of Jones & DeMille Engineering. Linford described the plan’s elements: roadway classifications, proposed arterial and collector corridors, traffic counts, vehicle speeds, truck volumes, crash history, active-transportation routes, pavement-condition assessment with a phased treatment plan, and 2050 traffic modeling identifying future capacity needs.
City Manager Michael Resare asked staff to correct the level-of-service map to show the correct alignment for the future State Route 112 extension and requested the extension be added to the future truck-route map; Linford agreed to make the revisions. The Council approved Resolution 2026-49 with the noted corrections.
