Don Carrivo presented the history of 690 County Street and described plans to remove a later sun porch and restore the original porch and roof line, salvaging posts, beams and granite where possible. He said the team plans to "reuse the original line where it was cut into the granite to reestablish the roof" and to match existing windows and granite details where feasible.
Commissioners pressed for specific material and drawing details; the applicant said budget constraints make full architectural plans costly and offered hand drawings or contractor sketches. The commission moved to approve the project for release to the building department with the contingency that final specifications (drawings and material notes) be approved by the chairman; the motion passed unanimously.
