Separately, staff reported the city had received an offer of $2,500 for each of 25 golf carts the city had declared surplus. The council discussed valuations and confirmed the amount met or exceeded prior evaluations; a motion to accept the offer was made and passed. The mayor noted accepting a single offer for multiple carts is a preferred method to clear storage and get funds into municipal accounts.
Council approved both the library surplus declaration and acceptance of the golf cart offer. Staff will complete the sale paperwork and report back when transactions are finalized.
