Logan County Schools proposes roughly $80 million FY2027 budget, boosts facilities repairs to $2.5M

"This ensures consistent, effective operation and support of educational activities within Logan County Schools while maintaining effective management of the fundamental resources," the presenter said, noting budget tabs and state funding computations are published in the packet. The presentation also called attention to increased planned spending on facilities: "The budget for major repairs to existing facilities for the coming year has increased from $500,000 last year to $2,500,000."
Board members asked whether last year’s HVAC work and other large projects were included in the current budget; administrators confirmed major HVAC work is currently budgeted and said part of that project was supported by earlier School Building Authority (SBA) funds. The treasurer and superintendent invited trustees and the public to review detailed revenue and expense charts and assessed valuations included in the packet.
