Harris County proclaims National Health Center Week, honors Valley Health Care System

Chair Susan Andrews presented a proclamation recognizing National Health Center Week and honoring Valley Health Care System for providing medical, dental and behavioral health services to underserved residents since 1994.
Dr. Asante Hilts accepted the proclamation on behalf of Valley Health Care System and thanked the commission. "On a monthly basis, we serve about a 100 patients at that site," Dr. Hilts said, adding the center offers women's health and dental care and is looking to expand local services. The board voted to approve the proclamation by unanimous show of hands.
