The Westmoreland County Prison Board approved several personnel actions on June 29, 2026. Commissioner Ted Kopas moved to accept Michelle Zigarovich as a new hire; the motion was seconded by District Attorney First Assistant Chuck Washburn and passed unanimously. The board then voted unanimously to accept resignations from William Carpeal, Christian Smith, Daniel Yoest, Justin Altman, John Raymen and Mark Albright.
Controller Jeff Balzer moved to terminate employment for Mikayla Franklin, Danielle Miller, Tyvaughn Long and Miranda Henry; Commissioner Kopas seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The motions were recorded as routine personnel actions and the board did not attach additional public conditions to the approvals during the meeting.
