The Salary Board approved a reorganization shifting positions from Parks to Public Works. The minutes show abolishing one Park Manager (annualized lines recorded) and creating a Facilities Manager position with increased annualized pay (annualized figures shown; position listed as XD-15 in funding notes), with motions approved unanimously. Two maintenance workers were moved from Parks to Public Works and corresponding Maint Worker II/III positions were created/reclassified with specified paygrades and hourly rates, with effective dates of June 1, 2026.
Commissioner Chew made the motions and Commissioner Kopas seconded. The minutes record that increases to some positions were funded by savings from the Parks reorganization; no additional budget document was attached to the minutes to quantify net savings.
