Committee member asks for regional updates; leadership questions feasibility in 90-minute town hall
Summary
A committee member (George) asked whether regional counselors could provide brief updates in the national town hall; the Chair said a single 90-minute session would likely not be an effective forum for updates from all 11 regions and suggested separate regional calls instead.

During discussion of the planned town halls, committee member George asked whether there would be time for regional counselors to give brief regional updates in the town-hall format, citing the absence of regional spring meetings. George asked specifically whether the town hall could "give them some time within the town hall meeting to... talk about what's happening in each region."
The Chair responded that while such updates are valuable, he was "not sure that that hour 90 60, 90 minutes is an effective use for 11 regions," and suggested that separate regional meetings with HRSA and OPTN leadership might be a better forum. Staff noted they would follow up to arrange additional regional coordination if needed.
