The Westmoreland County Records Improvement Committee elected Megan Loughner, Clerk of Courts, as chair at its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting. The motion to elect Loughner was made by Treasurer Jared Squires and seconded by Prothonotary Gina O'Barto and was approved unanimously.
The committee also elected Commissioner Sean Kertes as vice chairman later in the meeting. The motion to elect Kertes was made by Greg Mertz and seconded by Jared Squires and carried without objection. Both leadership elections were recorded as unanimous decisions by the voting members present.
