Board approves dozens of contracts, software renewals and vendor awards

At the July 21 meeting the Stockton Unified Board approved a broad set of procurement items, vendor renewals and construction actions that the district said support instruction, special education and infrastructure.
Key approvals included: purchase of a balanced assessment platform (Newsela) for K–12; a Delta Charter contract to provide transportation when district buses are unavailable for a fifth-grade science camp; a series of non-public school (NPS) master contracts and non-public agency agreements for special education services for 2026–27; renewals for Edmentum and AVID contracts; a PowerSchool business-administration renewal; and an award of the formal bid (Bid No. 2621) to Bronco Construction for the Edison High School CTE shade-structure project. Most motions passed by roll-call vote, typically 6-0 with noted absences or recusals when recorded.
Board members also authorized attendance and expenditures for conferences (CSBA; CLSBA in San Jose; R Collective; NAME) and approved routine financial items including vendor payments and purchase-order reports. Where recusals occurred they were recorded (one recusal was noted on an Emergis Health Care Staffing item). No single item suggested unanticipated programmatic changes; staff will advance contracts and implementation per normal procurement procedures.
