Parks and Trails Commission elects John as chair, Taylor as vice chair for two-year terms

Per the commission bylaws, members held the annual election for chair and vice chair. A commission member nominated John for the two-year chair term and another member seconded the nomination; the commission voted by voice and the chair announced that John was elected. A subsequent nomination and second for Taylor resulted in a similar voice vote and Taylor was named vice chair.
Outgoing chair George was thanked for two consecutive terms. The commission confirmed its next meeting will be Monday, Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
