Altamont staff report progress on KDOT sidewalk (TA) grant and schedule May 8 work session

City Administrator LeaAnn Myers reported that Schwab Eaton had begun field checks for the Transportation Alternative (TA) sidewalk project. Myers also said she completed the KDOT Project Manager Certification required by the grant, and that Shyanne Powell and Nathan Barnett completed the KDOT Right of Way Certification Program. The city scheduled a work session for Thursday, May 8 at 6:15 PM to continue grant planning.
The certifications are prerequisites for the TA Grant and position the city to advance the sidewalk project through KDOT requirements. Staff will use the May 8 session to review field findings and next steps for right-of-way and project delivery.
