The Altamont City Council approved an agreement with Schwab Eaton to administer aspects of a KDOT Transportation Alternative (TA) Grant and designated City Administrator Myers as the authorized signer for the KDOT project at the April 10 meeting. During the agenda item City Administrator Myers placed a call to Karla Waters of Schwab Eaton to clarify project costs before the council voted to approve the agreement.
Councilmember Lyle Sykes moved to approve the Schwab Eaton agreement and Councilmember Tyler Julich seconded; the motion carried. Separately, Councilmember Kyle Wiford moved and Councilmember Lyle Sykes seconded to approve City Administrator Myers as the project’s authorized signer; that motion also carried. Staff reported outreach to USD 506 to discuss sidewalk placement along Ness Road as part of TA Grant planning.
